چکیده
Demand for space cooling systems is growing worldwide. The main reasons are socioeconomic developments such as the world population and rise of economic wealth, especially in developing countries. These run simultaneously with global warming effects, increasing need cooling. This study introduces development Cooling Market Index (CDMI), which indicates demand appliances worldwide at a spatial resolution 1 km. It based on density, Gross Domestic Product (GDP)/capita Degree Days (CDD) per climate zone. CDMI calculated 2020 2050 four different future scenarios accordance Spatial Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP) Representative Concentration (RCP). Further, Solar Thermal (STCI) was developed to spatially estimate potential use solar thermal availability limitations due maximum heat rejection temperature. Results show that solutions increasing, countries, India will be by far largest market 2050. Countries Burundi Democratic Republic Congo strongest national increases CDMI. STCI ammonia absorption chillers zeolite adsorption can serve vast majority thanks their capability high condenser temperatures.

On-Chip Detector Cooling for Space Applications
Vibration-free miniature Joule-Thomson (JT) coolers are of interest for cooling small optical detectors for future space missions. The European Space Agency is interested in on-chip detector cooling for the temperature range 70¶K¶-¶250¶K. This is the topic of a new project at the University of Twente. In this project, the focus is on the integration of Micro-ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) bas...
متن کاملA review of solar thermal refrigeration and cooling methods
Energy is the lifeblood of the modern world. Because of the negative environmental impacts and limited sources of fossil fuels, researchers are increasingly focusing on renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy due to its cleanliness and natural availability. Along with photovoltaic systems, solar thermal energy has been used over the last few decades to meet the refrigeration needs f...
متن کاملThermal Performance and Key Challenges for Future Cpu Cooling Technologies
Over the past few years, thermal design for cooling microprocessors has become increasingly challenging mainly because of an increase in both average power density and local power density, commonly referred to as “hot spots”. The current air cooling technologies present diminishing returns, thus it is strategically important for the microelectronics industry to establish the research and develo...
متن کاملStudy of the performance of a solar adsorption cooling system
This article presents a transient model of a solar adsorption cooling system. A computer program has been developed to simulate the operation of a two bed silica gel- water adsorption cooling system as well as flat plate collectors and the hot water storage tank. This program is then utilized to simulate the performance of a sample solar adsorption cooling system used for cooling a set of r...
